Saracens takeover Nando’s St Albans!

Nando’s St Albans set temperatures soaring last week when Saracens players delighted fans with their fourth Nando’s takeover, and it’s fair to say the boys have learnt a thing or two over the years.

The sold out event saw Nils Mordt and over 15 of his team mates grill and and serve our legendary flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken whilst raising money for charity.

The players swapped their regular jerseys for Nando’s shirts to raise funds for the Saracens Sport Foundation which inspires communities to change the lives through the power of sports. Excited customers tucked in to PERi-licious chicken served by their favourite players whilst trying their luck in the raffle with plenty of extra hot prizes including a year’s supply of Nando’s! The sport stars posed for photos with fans and even managed to photobomb a few selfies!

The takeover was a great success raising over £6000 for a great cause! Well done to all who were involved! See you next year!

This weekend sees Ireland take on England in Dublin for their Six Nations clash, and to celebrate, we’ve got a tasty treat for Nando’s fans to get their hands on!

From Friday 27th February to Monday 2nd March 2015, we’ll be giving away 3 Chicken Wings* to customers who spend £5 or €5 in any Nando’s restaurant in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

#NandosDash in Gateshead!

Gateshead PNGThis time last year, we fired up the grills of our beautiful Gateshead restaurant for the very first time. Time really does fly when you’re having fun!

To celebrate this epic milestone, we wanted to do something special for our fans. So between 11.00am and 12.30pm on Saturday 28th February 2015, there’ll be delicious flame-grilled PERi-PERi Chicken up for grabs. It’s something we like to call a #NandosDash!

Fans can get their hands on a free ¼ Chicken, Single Pitta, or Burger*, on a first-come-first-served basis. All we ask is that you eat-in, so don’t forget to get your dash on as there are a limited number of seats available (though we’ll try and accommodate as many of you as we can within the hour and a half).

*Terms and Conditions
1. Only available between 11.00am and 12.30pm at Nando’s Gateshead (only and no other restaurant) on Saturday 28th February 2015.

Breakfast has landed at Nando’s Gatwick!

Last year saw us spread our wings and take flight in Gatwick Airport – South Terminal Airside, and we’ve been serving up delicious flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken to jetsetters ever since!

Being our first ever airport restaurant, there’s definitely something special about Nando’s Gatwick. This particular restaurant is open between 4.00am and 10.00pm meaning Nando’s travellers can get their hands on PERi-PERi chicken for breakfast, lunch AND dinner.

And for those who don’t opt for PERi-PERi chicken at 6am in the morning (although, we can’t quite get our heads around this!) we’re delighted to announce a brand new breakfast menu, exclusive to Nando’s Gatwick – South Terminal Airside, which will be served until 11am.

We’ve added something for everyone. Like it hot and sweet? Our Spiced Maple Pancakes and Spiced Maple French toast will certainly tickle your fancy. And for those still trying to solve the chicken and egg mystery, well, wait till you get a load of the Nando’s Benedict, which includes two succulent chicken fillet pieces, two poached eggs and wilted spinach topped with PERi-hollandaise, served on a Portuguese roll spread with chilli jam and a sprinkle of PERi-salt and fresh herbs.

And we can’t NOT mention our two delicious new omelettes – Chicken and Fresh Herb, and Spinach, Tomato and Cheese.

If you’re travelling through Gatwick, try the breakfast. There’s nothing plane about it…

Three is the magic number!

They say good things come in threes, and this week saw us open the doors to THREE beautiful new restaurants!

Nando’s Doncaster hatched in the town’s Leisure Park and had the pleasure of entertaining Doncaster Rovers FC and Doncaster RLC who came to sample its PERi-PERi delights on Wednesday. The players were amongst the very first customers to grace the new restaurant which seats 110 at any one time. Supporters and players alike can now get their post-match PERi-PERi fix they’ve been waiting for!

Second on the list is Nando’s Enfield which can be found in Enfield Retail Park, just a stone’s throw from the cinema and shops, perfect for that pre-cinema PERi-PERi pitstop.

The menu serves all your favourite Nando’s dishes, and then some! Why not go for something different and make it spicy – our succulent Chicken Livers is our menus delicious hidden gem.

And finally, hungry shopaholics can rejoice now that Nando’s Edinburgh Fort Kinnaird has landed in the Fort Kinnaird Shopping Centre!

In keeping with our unique Nando’s Afro-Portuguese style, we’ve decked all three of our new palaces of PERi-PERi with striking African artwork, design and comfy seating throughout, all for fans to enjoy.

Nando’s wings its way to New Malden

If you’ve stepped foot in New Malden this week, chances are, you’ve probably seen our shiny new restaurant which opened its doors to the public on Wednesday. And you guessed it – our legendary Portuguese flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken was hot on everyone’s lips!

You’ll find us on New Malden’s High Street – a stone’s throw away from the cinema and shops, providing the perfect PERi-PERi pit stop for everyone during the festive period. Whether it’s with family, friends or work colleagues, we’ve got a menu packed full of variety and flavours. You’ll be spoiled for choice!

In true Nando’s style, the new restaurant has been decked out with beautiful South African artwork throughout, paying homage to our roots.

Nando’s MK Stadium has hatched!

Milton Keynes received an Extra Hot treat this week as we opened the town’s fifth restaurant – Nando’s Milton Keynes – MK Stadium!

Our legendary Portuguese flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken can now be enjoyed at MK Stadium, making it the perfect pit stop for sports fans, shoppers and cinema goers. The restaurant’s look and feel is inspired heavily by our South African Portuguese roots. We’ve got the biggest collection of South African artwork in the UK, and Nando’s MK Stadium is packed to the rafters with original stunning artwork.

The new restaurant serves all of your favourite Nando’s dishes as well as some new items on the menu, including the succulent ‘No Bones About It’ platter, which features a Butterfly Chicken, Boneless Thighs and four regular sides.

You may have spotted the doors to our shiny new Walthamstow restaurant wide open this week, bringing a serious hit of spice to East London in the form of our very own legendary Portuguese flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken.

Taking inspiration from our South African and Portuguese roots, the restaurant features beautiful African artwork and design throughout, resulting in a fun and vibrant space for all to enjoy.

Conveniently situated on the high street, Nando’s Walthamstow is perfect for shoppers and cinema-goers looking for a delicious meal and a great atmosphere. You’ll also be delighted to see the Boneless Platter has arrived on the Nando’s menu, which includes a Butterfly Chicken, Boneless Thighs and four Regular Sides.

Online Takeaway has landed in Ireland!

Chicken lovers of Ireland, it’s now easier than ever to get your PERi-PERi fix through the Nando’s App or Online*!

Whether you want a quick bite to eat while out and about or simply can’t face the face the kitchen when en route home from the office, Nando’s takeaway is on hand.

To let the internet get you dinner, all you need to do is:

1. Simply download the Nando’s App (from the Apple Store) and register your details – don’t worry – this is just a one off!
2. Place your order – you can also save your favourite Nando’s meal to make it super quick next time
3. Select your collection time and location – based on whatever suits you
4. It’s then time to pay for your order (by credit or debit card or PayPal) – this will make sure there’s no messing around when you pop in to pick up your takeaway
5. Collection is quick and easy. All you need to do when you arrive at the restaurant is say hello – we will be expecting you!
6. We will then take your order number and add the final touches to your food – any chips will be freshly made when you arrive, (which may take a couple of minutes.)
7. Once your chips are done, you’re good to go and enjoy your takeaway where ever you fancy it!

Ah, Wild Herb.

The lesser spotted PERi-PERi sauce, causing scrums at the dinner table for the last few splashes. With its tasty blend of herbs and enticing hint of heat, its loyal and hard core fans often mean it’s impossible to get your hands on.

Well, lucky you, Wild Herb lovers! Whilst rummaging around the back of a grill the other day, we stumbled upon 60 bottles of the good stuff. With autumn upon us we’re all in need of some spice, so we’re going to give them away!
