Nando’s is enthusiastically involved in the local community. We believe in trying to make life better for all. Whether through sponsorship of a local sports team or support for a neighbourhood charity we are keen to contribute.
Cobham Youth Rugby
Now in its third season, Nando's sponsorship of the Cobham Youth Rugby section continues to go from strength to strength, and is proving to be a great success on and off the field.
The 2007/08 season promises to be the most successful yet, culminating in the Nando’s 10s Festival on Sunday 13th April – which is fast becoming one of the most popular tournament of its kind in the region.
Bunbury Cricket Club
We are proud sponsors of the Bunbury Cricket Club, whose incredible fund raising efforts, through David English and his star-studded cricket team, have raised thousands of pounds for worthy causes. Lookout for Bunbury cricket matches throughout the season - Nando’s will be there adding to the festivities.
Nando's X-PERi-mental Skate Jam
When it comes to sporting communities, there is none closer than skateboarding. 22nd September 2007 saw the first Nando’s Skate Jam at the BaySixty6 Skate Park in Bayswater. Nando’s attitude to life holds an affinity with skate culture, camaraderie and high spirits. At the skate park you leave your hang-ups, colour and class behind you; just jump on a board and enjoy the ride. The top of a skate ramp is the great equalizer; Nando’s Extra Hot PERi-PERi sauce has similar effects (and both involve a healthy dose of apprehension and anticipation resulting in euphoria)! “X-PERi-Mental” was geared at young up and coming skaters who wanted to improve their skills and jam with some top UK pro riders.
As well as demos, the pros judged best trick comps and gave out exclusive limited edition Nando’s decks, and even complete set ups. Although the day was about encouraging and supporting young skaters it was most of all about having a brilliant time. There were tons of giveaways and freebees: decks,t-shirts, magazines, stickers etc. as well as Nando’s notorious PERi-PERi chicken served on tap for free.

As part of our commitment to the local communities, we are proud to be able to recognise the hard work put in by the Emergency Services and NHS on all our behalves. In appreciation of this, Nando’s offers every employee of the Police, Fire Service, Ambulance Service and NHS a 20% discount in our restaurants (some exceptions apply).
