The day included demos from the pros, free lessons for U16’s, U16 mini ramp comp and best trick comps, where the winners received exclusive limited edition Nando’s decks. There were tons of giveaways and freebies including, T-shirts, skate mags and stickers as well as a FREE Nando’s BBQ!
Paul McDermott of BaySixty6 Skate Park commented, “The skateboarding world is completely non-prejudicial and part of the sport’s appeal is its openness and inclusion. This event echoed that. It was a great opportunity to bring skaters, old and new, together.”
Nando’s Xperimental Skate Jam was about encouraging and supporting young skaters but most of all about having a brilliant time.
