The Magic of Chilli
The African Bird’s eye Chilli (peri-peri chilli) is the heart of our trademark PERi-PERi sauces, bastings and marinades. There are those who say that the capsaicin in chilli is a bit like a micro miracle worker that doing all sorts of good
things for your health, such as:
- Help headaches and migraines
- Lower cholesterol
- Cut the recovery time of colds and flus (when taken liberally)
- Protect lung tissue
- Act as an antibacterial
Your 5-a-day
Nutritionists are always banging on about making sure you get your ‘5-a-day’ … but it always seems harder than
we think to make sure we do! Good news … many of the dishes on the Nando’s menu contain at least one of
your portions for the day!

Salt
We are sure you are fed up of hearing about watching your salt intake, so we have worked hard to reduce the
salt levels in our food so you can now enjoy Nando’s without having to worry about high salt levels.
The following options are especially low in salt and will help you to follow the Food Standards Agencies guideline
of adults consuming no more than 6gms of salt per day:
- Coleslaw
- Most of our Salads
- Sweet corn
- Plain chicken wrap
- ¼ chicken
Or if you are in the mood for spoiling yourself, our chips are served un-salted (unless you request PERi-salt).
