All Nando's chicken is Red Tractor assured, having met high standards of food safety, animal welfare and environmental protection, here in the UK. This means our chicken is not only tasty, but also happy and healthy.

Delivered FRESH, never frozen

As all our whole chickens are farmed in the UK, they are delivered FRESH (and never frozen) to our restaurants.

Marinated for 24 hours in PERi-PERi

To give you the great PERi-PERi-taste all our chickens are marinated for 24 hours in our natural PERi-PERi sauce. Our PERi-PERi marinade contains no preservatives, no colourants and no artificial flavours, so is totally natural and healthy.

Flame grilled, never fried

Every chicken is grilled to order (and basted to your specific choice and taste) over an open flame, rather than fried, resulting in lower cholesterol and reduced fat content.

About the PERi-PERi Chilli

Way back in the 15th Century, in the rich soils and intense heat of Southern Africa, our Portuguese forefathers made an important discovery - the African Birds Eye Chilli.

Known as PERi-PERi, this fiery little customer is added to special herbs and spices lemon and a touch of garlic to give our Nando's original PERi-PERi sauce.

Nando's PERi-PERi gives your taste buds an extreme workout. Some people even go as far as to say that eating high amounts of chilli could increase your immune system.

The icing on the cake is that it's also said to be an aphrodisiac. Hot stuff in more ways than one!

Corn on the cob

The perfect accompaniment to any Nando's meal. One day, Charlie, our supply chain manager was offered corn on the cob at a price he couldn't refuse. The customers loved it, and now Nando's is one of the biggest users of corn in the U.K. Nice one Charlie!

Eating Well

Nando's chicken is so addictively tasty it's difficult to resist the odd binge. But don't worry, on such occasions you can take the edge off your guilt with the knowledge that PERi-PERi chicken is also ideal as part of a well balanced diet. So, if you are eating out and can resist the temptation, eating healthily at Nando's is easy.

Nutritionists are always banging on about making sure you get your '5-a-day' ‚ but it always seems harder than we think to make sure we do! Good news - many of the dishes on the Nando's menu contain at least one of your portions for the day!
