2017 Music Exchange Workshop

In our third year, we flew over music students from Australia and our homeland South Africa, to join UK students for an inspirational two-day workshop.  

We challenged the creative students to blend their unique skills together to make a track from scratch.

Meanwhile, our special friends Ella Eyre, Dope Saint Jude and Urthboy dropped by to give invaluable advice, drawing on their personal experiences from across the globe. GRM Daily had behind the scenes access to film an exclusive video of the experience.

On day two, industry experts joined to listen to the young musicians’ tracks, before discussing the importance of collaboration in an increasingly global market.

Setting the bar high for 2018, one of the groups had there track premiered on BBC Radio 1Xtra (shout out Sian Anderson!). Check it out below...
