Whilst we’ve been filling your stomachs with PERi-PERi and feeding your souls with the freshest sounds at festivals this summer, we’ve also been busy getting stuck into the South African music scene - it’s where we’re from after all.

We’re heading to Newquay, the surf capital of the UK, for a sure-to-be-sizzling Boardmasters Festival. A selection of the best bands and DJs will bring the good times, and they’ll be joined by many of the world’s greatest surfers competing for the biggest event in the country, the Boardmasters Crown. Together, it’s set to be an unmissable beach session.

Nando’s Music Exchange kicked off its second year, returning to legendary music venue, the Roundhouse, for a day of workshops, collaborative recording sessions and artist mentoring.

After meeting at Nando’s Music Exchange event, South African DJ/producer Muzi invited double MOBO winner Stormzy to discover the music scene in Durban.

Bestival was 2015’s final festival outing for Rule The Roost, and it’s safe to say the Isle of Wight was an Extra Hot place to sign off for the summer.

Today, a group of young, emerging musicians are joining forces with South African DJ/producer Muzi, and UK rapper Example, for a day of collaboration.
