Mix It Up

Amapiano.

It’s the biggest cultural movement to come out of South Africa since Nando's...

We wanted to celebrate this. And that’s where Mix It Up comes in.

Working with the legendary Major League DJz, we introduced four UK artists, M1llionzMiraa MayBru-C and BERWYN to four South African producers, Tumza, BL Zero, MDU aka TRP and TO Star Quality to collaborate and create an exclusive Amapiano EP. Bringing both worlds together, each track was produced between Nando’s Soho Studio and Flame Studios in Constitution Hill, Johannesburg.

Named after the flame of democracy lit by President Mandela in 2011, Flame Studios is a sustainable creative hub that was built into the former prison at Constitution Hill. Nando's was founded at an important time for the people of South Africa, with the country growing towards equality, change, optimism and hope.
