First Heat

Our chillies might begin their life at the farms of Mozambique, but the spirit of PERi-PERi comes from much much more.

We took radio and TV presenter Maya Jama and actor Allan ‘Seapa’ Mustafa to see all that makes up our fiery little chilli. So, pull up a chair and press play, you’re about to go on a very PERi-adventure!

From the chilli farms in Mozambique, to the streets of Johannesburg with slam-poet Lazarusman and a visit to the local food market in Maputo, the PERi-PERi pilgrimage was just beginning.

As they visit the first ever Nando’s, learn the top-secret recipe for PERi-PERi (we can trust you too, right?), and use it to give making the local dish ‘Bunny Chow’ a try, the spirit of PERi-PERi had never been so alive!
