PERi-Cheese Toastie

How to make the ultimate cheese toastie? Add PERi-PERi. We're levelling up your go-to lunch recipes with our take on a classic. Get ready for the cheese pull.


10g Nando’s PERi-PERi Sauce
2 slices of bread (use sourdough bread for the perfect toastie)
25g grated cheddar cheese
25g grated mozzarella cheese
14g butter
1 tbsp oil
To serve
Nando’s Mild PERinaise for dipping


Step 1

Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat. While you’re waiting, butter one side of each bread slice.

Step 2

On the non-buttered side, spread a layer of Nando’s PERi-PERi Sauce. Add the grated cheese on top with another drizzle of Nando’s PERi-PERi Sauce. Top with another slice of bread.

Step 3

Add the sandwich to the frying pan for about three to four minutes on each side, or until the outside looks golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Step 4

Cut the toastie in half and serve with PERinaise.
